Allied Welding Systems

Abrasion Resistant Products & Industrial Wear Solutions

Allied designs and fabricates the best long-lasting solutions for wear-related challenges in heavy industry. From steel selection to liner placement, every detail is based on what we know holds up in the field.

Explore our full range of engineered components by category below. Each system is tailored to the demands of your plant.

At Allied Welding Systems, we specialize in high-performance ceramic wear products designed to handle the toughest industrial environments. Our CER-RUB™ Ceramic Liners combine impact-resistant alumina ceramic with vulcanized rubber or polyurethane backing, delivering excellent abrasion resistance and noise reduction for chutes, hoppers, bins, and transfer points. Available in square, hexagonal, and cylindrical formats, our liners are engineered to fit your application—whether moderate or severe wear is a concern.

We also offer Allied High-Density Alumina and Silicon Carbide Linings, developed to withstand extreme abrasion, thermal shock, and high temperatures. These linings are ideal for elbows, pipes, and pneumatic transport systems. With smooth surfaces for reduced material hang-up and customizable attachment methods—including welding, epoxy, and stud mounting—our ceramics are built to perform and last.

In addition, our ceramic-lined flexible hoses and rotary airlocks offer long-lasting durability in vibratory or non-stationary equipment applications, available in a range of diameters and bend radii to meet site-specific needs.

From custom-engineered ceramic elbows with smoothbend technology to basalt linings for cost-effective wear resistance, Allied delivers tailored ceramic solutions that keep your systems running longer with less downtime.

we manufacture custom-engineered pipes and elbows designed to outperform traditional wear components in high-abrasion, high-impact environments. Whether straight runs or complex transitions, our piping systems are built with durability, precision, and long service life in mind.

We offer a full range of lining options, including:

  • Smoothbend elbows lined with 95% alumina ceramic for consistent flow and maximum wear resistance

  • Silicon carbide linings for thermal shock and extreme abrasion

  • Cast basalt and rubber-lined pipe for cost-effective bulk flow solutions

Our elbows are fabricated in diameters from 1″ up to 30″, with custom angles, centerline radii, and end connections available (flanged, plain end, or quick connect). Each piece is formed and lined in-house using advanced processes like ceramic tiling, epoxy bonding, or vulcanized rubber-to-metal adhesion.

We specialize in producing:

  • Long-radius elbows

  • T, Y, and custom transitions

  • Sweep elbows for pneumatic systems

  • Multi-material pipe sections for staged wear protection

Every component is built to spec and backed by detailed QA, with nationwide shipping and crating available for secure transport. Whether replacing worn piping in a plant or designing a new material handling system, our pipe and elbow assemblies offer unmatched performance and reliability.

Allied Welding Systems fabricates high-performance ceramic-lined flex hoses built to handle severe abrasion, high flow rates, and challenging installation environments. These hoses combine the flexibility of heavy-duty rubber with the wear resistance of high-density alumina ceramic—delivering exceptional performance in both stationary and vibratory systems.

Our CER-RUB flex hoses are custom-built in diameters from 1″ to 12″ and lengths up to 39′, with mini-bend radii to suit tight spaces and complex routing. Each hose is internally lined with isostatically-pressed ceramic tiles and vulcanized into 60+ durometer rubber, creating a robust lining that resists internal wear without cracking or chipping.

Options include:

  • Flanged or cuffed ends

  • EDPM rubber construction (rated up to 194°F / 90°C)

  • Custom bend radii and lengths

  • Compatible with slurry, granule, and pneumatic systems

These hoses are ideal for use in bulk material transfer, admixture lines, discharge systems, and any application where rigid piping is too restrictive or susceptible to failure. Backed by decades of experience in industrial wear protection, our flex hose solutions are trusted for their durability, adaptability, and long service life.

Allied 300XL is our proprietary composite wear plate engineered to withstand extreme abrasion and moderate impact in demanding industrial environments. It features a low carbon steel base plate bonded to a highly alloyed, wear-resistant cladding—delivering an impressive hardness rating of 68RC. Despite its exceptional toughness, 300XL remains highly workable. It can be bolted, welded, stud-welded, or moderately cold-formed, making it an ideal solution for a wide range of fabrication needs.

This advanced material is a proven performer in industries where wear failure leads to costly downtime and repairs. From chutes and hoppers to elbows and liners, Allied 300XL provides extended service life and reduces the total cost of ownership across the board. Its success in high-abrasion applications has made it a trusted solution among plant operators and maintenance teams seeking long-term durability without sacrificing flexibility in installation.

Allied Welding Systems fabricates high-performance polyurethane components engineered for abrasion resistance, flexibility, and impact absorption. Our polyurethane parts are ideal for handling abrasive materials in both wet and dry applications, offering excellent resilience where rubber or steel alone may fail.

Common uses include chute liners, wear strips, skirting, bumpers, and screens—each designed to reduce noise, minimize material buildup, and extend equipment life. We offer a range of formulations and durometers tailored to your specific process requirements, and can custom-cast parts to meet your operational and dimensional needs.

Allied Welding Systems fabricates precision-engineered wear linings that dramatically extend the service life of chutes, elbows, hoppers, pipes, and other high-wear components. We work with a full range of industry-grade materials, each selected based on the specific demands of the application—abrasion, impact, corrosion, temperature, or flow rate.

Our lining capabilities include:

  • Alumina Ceramic (95%) – Ideal for severe abrasion and fine particulate wear. Available in bricks, cylinders, or custom inserts; often bonded inside smoothbend elbows and transitions.

  • Silicon Carbide – Offers extreme wear resistance, thermal shock protection, and high-temperature performance. Excellent for pneumatic and high-speed transport lines.

  • Tungsten Carbide – Ultra-durable for heavy impact and extreme abrasion. Used in critical wear zones and custom hardfacing applications.

  • Chrome Carbide  – Applied to steel surfaces for large-scale wear areas. Our proprietary Allied 300XL provides superior hardness and longer service life.

  • Basalt – A cost-effective lining for friction-based abrasion. Used in straight pipe sections and dry flow applications; cast and annealed for long-term hardness.

  • Polyurethane & Rubber – Shock-absorbing linings used in vibratory equipment and impact zones. Often used as a base layer for ceramic liners.

We engineer full solutions. From elbows and reducers to transitions and wear plates, we form and bond each lining using the most effective method for your operation, including vulcanization, epoxy adhesives, mechanical fastening, or welded assemblies. Our deep knowledge of material behavior, geometry, and flow dynamics ensures every part is built to perform.
